New Athens Free Tour: A walk-through Greek history and mythology

A group that’s come together to help you do exactly that is the New Athens Free Tour. Offering a daily free Athens walking tour, this takes you through the city that became the cornerstone of western civilization. You may find your self walking in the footsteps of Socrates and Plato, as the team helps you relive the golden age of Greece. They take you through the history and mythology of the city. Amongst the attractions is a stroll through the picturesque old town of Plaka, pass by the Acropolis besides ancient theaters and stadiums.

What can one expect in the group tours?

An orientation of the city of Athens including the most important historic sites with an explanation and brief history of each. We also provide our walkers with tips on how to beat the queues across local attractions and some of the best travel advice to live the city. It could be recommendations around the best places to enjoy local nightlife, eateries to experience authentic Greek cuisine and so on.  Ultimately we promise a fun day out with a chance to meet people from all over the world.
